Benin: Two Suspected Thieves Saved from Mob Violence in Agla-Hlazounto – La Nouvelle Tribune

Two men aged 42 and 30, suspected of attempting to steal a motorcycle in Agla-Hlazounto, Cotonou, were arrested by police on September 24, 2026. They were rescued from a mob by officers from the 13th arrondissement, who intervened at the Archangels pharmacy intersection. Police recovered two motorcycles, a Haojue and a Nigerian-registered Bajaj, which were seized and taken to impound, before placing the suspects in custody for investigation.
