Benin’s lawmakers are scheduled to meet in plenary on Monday, October 26, at 10 a.m. at the Palais des Gouverneurs in Porto-Novo, during the second ordinary session of 2026. They will consider National Assembly President Joseph Djogbénou’s activity report for April 22 to September 30, as well as a proposed Highway Code. The third item is a bill authorizing ratification of the agreement establishing the African Legal Support Facility. Consideration of the Highway Code follows a seminar in Grand-Popo on October 20 and preparatory work by the parliamentary Law Committee with Transport Minister Georges Alé.
