Fintiri urged residents to obey the curfew and called on local leaders, youth groups and women’s groups to promote peace and dialogue. Since July 2025, the violence has killed dozens and destroyed homes and vehicles; nine women died during protests in December 2025, and renewed clashes in March and April caused further casualties and the destruction of hundreds of houses.
