Benue: Governor Alia inaugurates 2027 campaign council, pledges continuity if re-elected

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia inaugurated the Tinubu/Alia 2027 Campaign Council in Makurdi, naming Citizen Richard Asema as director-general, followed by the opening of President Bola Tinubu’s campaign office. Alia urged APC members to unite and reconcile, crediting federal support for progress in security, education, healthcare and infrastructure. He cited the recruitment of 9,700 primary school teachers, road works connecting the state’s 23 local government areas and the revival of abandoned projects. If re-elected, he said he would consolidate existing achievements rather than start projects from scratch.
