Benue: Governor Alia inaugurates 2027 campaign council, pledges to build on achievements

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia inaugurated the Tinubu/Alia 2027 Campaign Council in Makurdi, naming Citizen Richard Asema as its director-general. He urged APC members to unite and reconcile, saying his re-election and President Bola Tinubu’s would allow the state’s progress to continue. Alia pointed to the recruitment of 9,700 teachers and investments in roads, schools, healthcare and agriculture, alongside the revival of abandoned projects. He said road links across the state’s 23 local government areas were about 75% complete and pledged to consolidate existing achievements if re-elected.
