Benue: Governor Alia inaugurates 2027 campaign council, says re-election will ensure continuity

Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia inaugurated the Tinubu/Alia 2027 Campaign Council in Makurdi on Thursday, naming Citizen Richard Asema as its director-general. He urged APC members to unite and reconcile, saying he and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu were delivering on their promises and helping restore the state. Alia cited the recruitment of 9,700 teachers, improvements to schools, roads and security, and the revival of abandoned projects; he said road links across the state’s 23 local government areas were about 75% complete. If re-elected, he said he would consolidate existing achievements rather than start projects from scratch.
