Benue: Unknown hoodlums kill NDC chairman, dump body in Makurdi bush

The chairman of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Igbu Terhemen from Makurdi, was attacked and killed by unknown suspects. He went out to watch a local football match and did not return home; he was later found unconscious in a bush near his residence with a needle-like injury, suggesting he may have been injected with a toxic substance. He died before receiving medical attention, and police are investigating the possibility of poisoning. The Benue State chapter of the NDC condemned his murder, calling it a 'broad-daylight evil.'
