Betta Edu mobilises 500 Cross River women and targets 1.5 million votes for Tinubu

In Calabar, former minister Betta Edu set a target of 1.5 million votes from Cross River for Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. At a programme organised at the instance of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, about 500 market women, petty traders and artisans each received 50,000 naira along with business and household equipment. Edu urged residents to support Tinubu, Governor Bassey Otu and other APC candidates, and said the empowerment programme would expand to other parts of the state. She also led a support visit to General Hospital, Calabar, ahead of an APC rally scheduled for Monday.
