Between Ousmane Sonko and Bassirou Diomaye Faye, Moustapha Mamba Guirassy has chosen

Moustapha Mamba Guirassy said he supports Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye in his standoff with Ousmane Sonko, the Pastef leader and president of the National Assembly. He said his party is mobilizing behind the head of state to help him fulfill his promises. As a member of the government, Guirassy said he could not serve in the government while joining the opposition, and that he accepts the responsibility of defending its record. Tensions have grown since the National Assembly rejected the revised budget bill.
