Billionaire Okoya’s Son Marries Rukoyah in Private Ceremony

Idris Okoya, son of Nigerian industrialist Razaq Okoya, married his partner, Rukoyah, in a private ceremony. Shade Okoya, Razaq’s wife, announced the union on Monday in an Instagram Story and congratulated the newlyweds. Footage from the event, where Shade wore traditional aso ebi attire, was also shared by food vendor Tuwo Pama International, which offered prayers for the couple.

Anambra State Police said the heavy deployment at St. Faith’s Anglican Cathedral in Awka during a Sunday service conducted by suspended Archbishop Alexander Ibezim was intended to maintain order and protect lives and property. Jigawa NUJ secures release of six inmates

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) council in Jigawa State paid the fines of six inmates at Gumel Correctional Centre who had remained in custody because they could not afford them. The humanitarian intervention was part of the council’s first Press Week; the beneficiaries were Musa Ilu, Umar Sani, Inusa Lawan, Hassan Shu’aibu, Nuhu Hassan and Suraja Tahir. An NUJ delegation also donated essential goods to Dutse Correctional Centre. The centre’s officer-in-charge, CSC Muhammad Nazir, praised the gesture and urged other organisations to follow suit.
