Bishop, one other Nigerian killed in S/Africa, Fani-Kayode demands justice

Nigerian High Commissioner Designate to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on the South African government to protect Nigerians and bring those responsible for the murders of two Nigerians, Bishop Michael Taiwo Fakunle and Mr. James Uchechukwu Nwankwo, in Johannesburg to justice. These murders bring the total to eight Nigerians killed in South Africa in 2026, with over 100 Nigerians killed since 2022, including more than 30 allegedly by South African police officers. Fani-Kayode expressed shock at the violence and highlighted the lack of arrests despite repeated concerns raised by Nigerian authorities.
