Black weekend: Family of nine, 18 others killed in Benue, Plateau

At least 27 people, including nine members of the same family and a two-month-old baby, were killed in attacks in Benue and Plateau states, Nigeria. In Benue, suspected armed herdsmen killed at least 18 people in separate attacks in Otukpo Local Government Area, sparking protests as youths carried corpses to the Och'Idoma palace. The attacks come two weeks after the killing of the Benue State Chairman of MACBAN, Ardo Mohammed.
