Bomas escapes bid to attach more bank accounts in Sh104m debt suit

The High Court struck out a fresh application by Standard Investment Bank (SIB) seeking to attach additional bank accounts of Bomas of Kenya to recover a Sh104 million debt. The court ruled that allowing the new application would create parallel recovery proceedings, causing confusion and oppression. Bomas had paid Sh30 million through installments between December 2023 and September 2024 but defaulted after a 84 percent revenue drop due to the Bomas International Convention Complex project.
