Bomb threats: European TV stations evacuated, programmes suspended

European television stations received bomb threats on Friday, 6 November 2026, prompting evacuations and the suspension of some programmes. Irish public broadcaster RTÉ was targeted, followed a few hours later by British channel Sky. An email read on air by an RTÉ journalist claimed its sender belonged to the same group behind threats against flights. Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin called the incident worrying, as further threats were reported against Ryanair flights from Rome to Lisbon and Wizz Air flights from Prague to Rome.
