A Boko Haram terrorist surrendered to troops of the Joint Task Force North-East, Operation Hadin Kai, in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State on September 2, 2026. During the surrender, he handed over a Rocket-Propelled Grenade launcher, an RPG bomb, and a mobile phone. Captain Mohammed Goni, the spokesperson for the operation, stated that this surrender demonstrates the sustained military pressure on terrorist networks and the military's commitment to creating conditions for lasting peace in the region.
