Botswana–Oman: agreements in mining exploration and energy infrastructure

Botswana's President Duma Boko signed agreements with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq in Oman, focusing on mining exploration, renewable energy, and oil storage infrastructure. One agreement involves cooperation in exploring mineral resources, including copper and gold, across 70% of the underexplored territory. Another agreement pertains to the construction of a 500-megawatt solar power plant, aiming to increase the share of renewable energy in the country's electricity supply.
