Boualem Sansal Says ‘France Is Over For Me’

French-Algerian writer Boualem Sansal stated he is considering leaving France due to sustained personal attacks. During his induction into the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium, he expressed a growing sense of isolation and claimed that France is no longer a place where he can remain. Sansal mentioned a form of intellectual repression and indicated the possibility of relocating to Switzerland or Belgium while continuing to speak out publicly.
