Breaking: 2026 Supplementary Finance Bill — National Assembly Finance Committee convened for Friday

Members of the National Assembly’s Finance and Budgetary Control Committee have been summoned for Friday, October 30, 2026, at 3 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Marie Joséphine Diallo room in the new building. Its sole agenda item is examination of bill No. 40/2026, the supplementary finance bill for 2026. The summons was signed by committee chair Alphonse Mane Sambou.

2027: “You are arrogant” — Okorocha lashes out at Imo Governor Hope Uzodinma

Former Imo West Senator Rochas Okorocha called Governor Hope Uzodinma arrogant after Uzodinma said at the inauguration of the APC Presidential Campaign Council that he would be on the ballot in 2027. Speaking on Channels Television, Okorocha said Uzodinma should not presume the outcome while an election dispute was before the courts. The Federal High Court in Abuja declared Okorocha the APC candidate for the Imo West senatorial seat and ordered Uzodinma to stop presenting himself as the winner of the May 18 primary. Justice Obiora Egwuatu ruled that the evidence showed Okorocha had won the majority of votes.
