President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria after a four-week working holiday in Europe. His presidential aircraft landed at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening, after departing Paris earlier that day. According to his Special Adviser on Information, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu chose to fly to Lagos first to honor the memory of Chief MKO Abiola, a martyr of Nigeria’s democratic struggle. On Independence Day, he will attend the premiere of a movie honoring Abiola at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Lagos.
