Breast and Prostate Cancer: CNRAO Doubles Patient Survival Rate and Strengthens Strategy

The Alassane Ouattara National Center for Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy (CNRAO) in Côte d'Ivoire presented improved survival results during a ceremony to sign performance contracts. Director General Prof. Judith Didi-Kouko Coulibaly announced a 63% survival rate for breast cancer (compared to 31% nationally in 2017), rising to 85% with early detection. For prostate cancer, five-year survival is 72% (93% with early detection), and for cervical cancer, 61% (88% with early detection). The President of the Board of Directors, Prof. Eddy Edmond, called these contracts an act of good governance.
