British justice on Wednesday acquitted Diezani Alison-Madueke of all corruption charges following a trial at Southwark Crown Court in London, brought by the National Crime Agency. The former Nigerian oil minister, who served from 2010 to 2015 under President Goodluck Jonathan, was accused of accepting bribes and luxurious benefits from oil industry players in exchange for contracts with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. The defense argued that the evidence was insufficient.
