Brussels unveils a massive flower carpet inspired by Hokusai's masterpiece

Volunteers began to appear on the Grand Place in Brussels a massive motif inspired by the work of Japanese master Katsushika Hokusai. This carpet is the heart of the 24th edition of the Flower Carpet, which celebrates this year 160 years of diplomatic relations between Belgium and Japan. The motif, baptized 'Neo-Hokusai', revisits in a contemporary way one of the most famous works of Hokusai. It will remain visible until August 16.
