“Build Your Own Team”: Mohammadou Idrissou Defends David Pagou’s Choices

Mohammadou Idrissou defended David Pagou amid criticism of his squad for the two-match series against Namibia. In a video posted on social media, the former Indomitable Lions striker told unhappy supporters to select their own team and said he trusted all the players called up. The 28-player squad, announced on October 26, notably excludes André Onana, Jackson Tchatchoua and Nouhou Tolo. Their omissions have drawn criticism as Cameroon prepares for the third and fourth rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
