Building collapse in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory Police confirmed the collapse of a building under construction in the Jikwoyi area of Abuja on April 3, 2026. Eight victims have been rescued and taken to the hospital, while nine others escaped uninjured. Rescue operations are ongoing to locate any additional victims who may be trapped. A thorough investigation has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the collapse.
