Bukavu: at least three dead and over 300 houses burned in a fire in Nyalukemba

A violent fire broke out on the night of September 20-21 in the Nyalukemba neighborhood of Bukavu, resulting in the deaths of three people, including Mwango Espoir, captain of FC Reheme. Over 300 houses were destroyed, particularly affecting the Paysage 2 and Irambo 2 avenues. In response to this tragedy, Governor Patrick Busubwangwi imposed safety measures, including requiring households to have fire extinguishers and banning construction on deemed unsafe sites.
