In Ouagadougou, 136 specialized officers completed their training at the Georges Namoano Military Academy on September 29, 2026. These new second lieutenants, from the 16th promotion, received their insignia after eleven months of training, joining the national armed forces with diverse profiles such as civil engineering, IT, psychology, and medicine. Minister Célestin Simporé emphasized that this diversity addresses current and future geopolitical challenges, aligning with Captain Ibrahim Traoré's vision of building a professional army.
