Dakar's Commercial Court confirmed a debt of 7.6 billion CFA francs claimed by Sofico, Tahirou Sarr's financial entity, ending a lengthy legal battle. The initial debt of Sogetrans with Banque Atlantique Senegal was transferred to Sofico, which pursued legal action to recover the funds. Despite Sogetrans' contestation and an expert report indicating the actual debt was about 2.3 billion CFA, the court validated the larger claim, dealing a significant blow to Sogetrans.
