UN Calls for $1.1 Billion to Combat Ebola Outbreak in DRC

UN Secretary-General António Guterres has urgently called for an additional $1.1 billion to combat the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The UN intervention plan, estimated at $2.13 billion, is currently only 48% funded. Guterres warned that without additional funding, vital operations may run out of money just as they need to be intensified.
