C64 Protest: Government Spokesperson Denounces 'Lies and Manipulation' and Calls for Dialogue

Following the September 15 protest by the Coalition Article 64 (C64), Congolese government spokesperson Patrick Muyaya defended the right to protest while denouncing accusations of orchestrating violence by the government. He criticized a false statement urging parents not to send their children to school and called on the opposition to engage in the dialogue proposed by President Félix Tshisekedi. Muyaya emphasized the importance of national unity to defend the homeland.
