China and Egypt Strengthen Their Economic and Strategic Partnership

Chinese President Xi Jinping was received in Cairo by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi during his first visit to Egypt in ten years. The two leaders expressed their desire to deepen their economic, security, and military cooperation while calling for a diplomatic solution to conflicts in the Middle East. Xi Jinping also emphasized the importance for regional countries to oppose external interference.
