2027: Lagos APC spokesman predicts trouble for Peter Obi and the Obidient Movement

Mogaji Seye Oladejo, the APC spokesman in Lagos State, questioned Peter Obi’s chances in the 2027 general elections, in which Obi is the Nigeria Democratic Congress’s presidential candidate. In a statement dated October 19, 2026, Oladejo argued that the enthusiasm generated by Obi’s 2023 campaign would not be enough without a lasting political organisation, grassroots mobilisation and a coherent electoral strategy. He also questioned the stability of Obi’s political platform and the Obidient Movement’s ability to sustain its influence. Oladejo cited no independent polls or other empirical evidence showing that support for Obi has declined.
