Nice: Mother of a pupil attacks school principal with a handgun

A 36-year-old woman was arrested and taken into custody on Monday after attacking the principal and a teacher at a kindergarten in Nice. According to Nice Matin, the principal was threatened with a handgun—whose authenticity is unknown—and the suspect pulled the trigger twice without a shot being fired. Mayor Eric Ciotti called the assault particularly serious and said no pupils witnessed it. Prosecutor Damien Martinelli was expected to provide further details later in the day.
