The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s request for parliamentary approval to obtain fresh external loans of $20.5 billion and €1.45 billion. FSNC suspension: PCRN asks Atanga Nji to reconsider his decision

INEC Steps Up Efforts to Address Electoral Risks in Abia

Nigeria’s Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has stepped up preparations for the 2027 general elections in Abia State. At a sensitisation workshop in Umuahia, Resident Electoral Commissioner Prof. Sylvia Agu stressed the need to identify threats early and coordinate stakeholders to protect peaceful polls and public confidence.
