CA Announces Revocation of Licences for 22 TV Stations

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has issued a seven-day notice to revoke the broadcasting licenses of 22 television stations, after which they will no longer be authorized to provide services. The revocation was announced in a Gazette Notice published on October 9, 2026, and affects free-to-air stations, including several faith-based broadcasters such as Holy Spirit’s TV, Greater Life Television, Assemblies of God Kenya Television Network, and Bethsaida Television. The CA did not specify the reasons for the revocation but stated that resources held under these licenses would revert to the authority once the revocation takes effect.
