Shooting Stars defeated Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien 1-0 in their first continental match since 1999 during the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round at the Moshood Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta. Lucky Emmanuel scored the winning goal four minutes before the half-hour mark. Despite a strong push from Sfaxien in the second half, the Shooting Stars' goalkeeper made several crucial saves to maintain the lead.
