CAF Confederation Cup: “We are calm and confident… Whatever AS Maniema can handle, so can we,” says Kabuscorp president Bento Kangamba

AS Maniema Union defeated Angola’s Kabuscorp 4-1 in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the CAF Confederation Cup. Despite the heavy loss, Kabuscorp president Bento Kangamba said he was confident ahead of the return match in a week and plans to field nearly six reinforcements, including three players who have left the team. The Angolan club signed five players in Kinshasa: Platini Mpiana Monzinzi, Zito Mongamba, Kalonda Vinny, Mbau Sem and Brudel Efonge. It has also strengthened its technical staff with Mpempele, a former AS V.Club player.
