CAF: Samuel Eto'o Positions Himself to Succeed Patrice Motsepe, According to The Guardian

Patrice Motsepe's future as CAF president is uncertain, with African officials expressing a loss of confidence in him. Samuel Eto'o, a member of the CAF executive committee since this year, is frequently mentioned as a potential successor, especially if Motsepe leaves office early. The international media, including The Guardian, suggests Eto'o could gain Gianni Infantino's approval to lead the CAF. The presidency remains open, following Motsepe's announcement not to seek a new term in 2029.
