CAF: Samuel Eto’o Ready for a Coup Against Patrice Motsepe?

Samuel Eto’o aims to succeed Patrice Motsepe as CAF president. The proposed return to a biennial Africa Cup of Nations could further weaken Motsepe, whose leadership faces increasing opposition. Several federation presidents, including Samuel Eto’o, Idriss Diallo, Ahmed Yahya, and Souleiman Waberi, are seeking to succeed or challenge him, especially if Motsepe chooses not to run again or steps down before his term ends in 2029. Gianni Infantino may influence this power struggle by supporting certain candidates.
