CAFI entrusts 14 billion FCFA to IDH to facilitate access to financing for Cameroonian SMEs and agricultural cooperatives

On September 15, 2026, IDH announced the establishment of an _« Investment & Payment for Environmental Services Hub »_ in Cameroon, funded by the Central African Forest Initiative (CAFI) with 24.57 million dollars, approximately 14 billion FCFA. This project aims to prepare agricultural businesses for financing and attract private capital towards deforestation-free value chains. By 2030, IDH plans to mobilize an additional 29 million dollars from private funders to support SMEs and agricultural cooperatives facing financing challenges.
