CAJ, UNESCO Plan Measures to Improve Election Information Ahead of 2027

The Commission on Administrative Justice (CAJ) plans to collaborate with UNESCO to improve access to and verification of election information in Kenya ahead of the 2027 general election. On October 1, 2026, they discussed early dissemination of key information, monitoring its accuracy, and improving public communication. CAJ is developing a tool to assess whether electoral institutions meet their information obligations and is considering training electoral stakeholders to enhance transparency and accountability in the electoral process.
