Cameroon: 23.2 Billion CFA Francs for Kaélé, but Nothing Moves

The Cameroonian government is seeking partners to finance, build, and operate the agro-industrial complex in Kaélé, in the Far North region, with an investment of 23.2 billion CFA francs. The project aims to process 73,000 tonnes of raw materials annually, including sorghum, maize, onions, and meat from cattle and small ruminants, on a 30-hectare site. Twelve years after initial studies, the project has yet to be implemented.
