Cameroon: Accused of embezzlement, Samuel Eto’o lashes out at RFI

RFI reported a new complaint accusing Samuel Eto’o of the alleged embezzlement of public funds. The complaint was filed by the Association of Amateur Football Clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC) and registered by Yaoundé’s Special Criminal Court; it concerns spending related to four Indomitable Lions friendly matches in 2022 and 2023. The Fecafoot president responded on Facebook by questioning RFI’s credibility and accusing some of its staff or consultants of pedophilia, without naming them or providing evidence to substantiate the allegations.
