Cameroon have chosen Carlos Baleba’s replacement

Carlos Baleba has withdrawn from Cameroon’s two-match series against Namibia in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, and Ryan Fosso has been called up to replace him. The 24-year-old Standard Liège midfielder returns to the Indomitable Lions after featuring in the first two qualifying rounds. He has had limited playing time at club level, starting just one match for Standard this season. Baleba suffered a hamstring injury during a Champions League match against AS Roma.

Feijóo said the final should be played in Spain and confirmed he would advocate withdrawal if Morocco gets to host it. FIFA has said no decision has been made, despite Moroccan federation president Fouzi Lekjaa’s assertion that the match would take place in Morocco.
