Cameroon: Improvements in Children Vaccinated Against Malaria

In Cameroon, malaria cases have decreased among vaccinated children, according to testimonies from mothers and prevention experts. Dr. Sania Nishtar, Director General of Gavi, emphasized that using the vaccine alongside other tools has led to a 70% reduction in infant mortality. Cameroon received its first batch of malaria vaccines in November 2023, marking a significant advancement in the fight against this disease.
