Cameroon - ITIE Suspension: Civil Society, the Sticking Point

Cameroon, suspended since February 2024 from the EITI due to the exclusion of civil society, is seeking to lift the suspension by convincing Brussels of its reforms. Fuh Calistus Gentry met with Maria van der Hoeven during the 10th EITI Global Conference to advocate for the suspension's removal. The government promises to implement corrective measures, but civil society remains the main obstacle to the country's reintegration into the process.
