Cameroon-Ivory Coast: History Favors the Indomitable Lions

On October 3, 2026, Cameroon and Ivory Coast will face off in a friendly match in Abidjan. Historically, Cameroon has won 10 of their 16 encounters since 1972, with their last match ending in a 1-1 draw at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco. The Cameroonian team, led by David Pagou, aims to extend their historical dominance over the Elephants. Their rivalry has been shaped by several significant matches in Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.
