Motorcycle taxis are essential for transportation in Cameroon’s rural and urban areas, especially in Douala where they operate chaotically. In neighborhoods like Bojongo, Bonabéri, Déïdo, Akwa, New Bell, Bilonguè, and Ndog Mbong, drivers of Asian-made motorcycles often ignore traffic signals, honk constantly, and challenge other road users. While vital for mobility, this activity leads to frequent accidents, creating fear among residents. The situation highlights the poor state of roads and the isolation of remote villages across the country.
