Cameroonian Gold: Uganda Declares 150.5 Billion FCFA Imported in 2024, Following Untracked Flow of 43.4 Billion in 2023

Uganda reported importing 3,175 kg of unrefined gold from Cameroon in 2024, valued at 150.5 billion FCFA. In 2023, Kampala had already declared 1,117 kg of unrefined gold from Cameroon, but no Cameroonian exports appear in the official data for that year. Cameroon was the sixth declared source of unrefined gold imported by Uganda in 2024, behind several other African countries.
