Camwater: Chinese company Laison wins a contract of 721.8 million FCFA to deploy 3,000 smart meters

The Cameroon Water Utilities Corporation (Camwater) awarded a contract worth 721.76 million FCFA to the Chinese company Hangzhou Laison Technology Company Limited to supply and install 3,000 smart water meters. The contract, signed on August 17, 2026, by General Director Blaise Moussa, also includes communication equipment and an IT platform. The pilot sites for the deployment of the meters are Bonabéri in Douala and Odza in Yaoundé.
