CAN 2025: Arrested, Franco-Algerian Lyèce Mouri recounts his ordeal in Morocco

Lyèce Mouri, a French national of Algerian origin, was detained for three months in Morocco after the CAN 2025 final between Morocco and Senegal on January 18 in Rabat. He was arrested for wearing a Senegal jersey, approached by plainclothes police, and later charged with assaulting an officer and invading the pitch, which he denies. Released after serving his sentence, he shared his story on TikTok on June 6, 2026. Fifteen Senegalese supporters had been pardoned by King Mohammed VI on May 23.
